I’m Dawid, Professor of Decarbonisation at the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (NZIIC), Teesside University, a £13.1m facility dedicated to accelerating industrial net zero.
I work with industrial operators, SMEs, and engineering teams facing high-stakes decarbonisation decisions. My clients include energy majors, port operators, industrial clusters, and government agencies in the UK and internationally.
Every engagement is structured around a clear analytical question and delivers a rigorous, defensible output whether that’s a cost-per-tonne figure, a technology go/no-go, or a roadmap your board and funders will take seriously.
Services I deliver:
1. Techno-economic assessment (TEA) — aligned to ISO 14076, including LCOC, NPV, and cost-per-tonne-of-CO₂-avoided analysis
2. Life cycle assessment (LCA) — aligned to ISO 14040/14044
3. Feasibility studies and technology evaluation
4. Decarbonisation strategy and net-zero roadmaps for industrial assets and clusters
5. Process modelling and engineering cost analysis
My work has informed decisions for organisations including Suez, Quorn, Harbour Energy, Airhive and teams working on the East Coast Cluster. I also collaborate with DESNZ and the US Department of Energy on CCUS and hydrogen research.
